This is the continuation of a thread i derailed:
NEXRAD Doppler Radar TOWERS Control the WEATHER?

You might read it first.
I posted this pic April 30:
This is the other piece, still aiming up as my turtles program it. A first. These are my 16 large sentient turtles, and they are no slouches. They have been programming it for days.
They continued to program it until 11am today! I suspected them of hijacking it to take over the universe.
And they don't want to pgm anything else. Not something they ordinarily do.
Here it is now. The silvery cast turned out smeary.
You can see the shapes i chose: 1 pyramid, 2 spheres, 3 large crystal shapes, 1 copper pipe. 3 steep, blunt, cones made using dollar store mini traffic cones.
These were the molds i had on hand, and i believe they will work as well as the molds JoeOB recommends...
The final (silvery) cast did not get charged on the facial wand setup, as it contained no stones and no metal other than a piece of hardware cloth which did not need it.
That is not aluminum powder, and besides i'm pretty sure metal powders with not take the facial charge.
That is a pigment used for the Lightning Programs

which are very difficult to incorporate into devices effectively. But i got the green light on this one.
First i poured a bit less than 3 qts of epoxy which got Lightning Pgm #2, then i put into the wet epoxy the hardware cloth and the 10 pieces. Then a bit more than a qt of Lightning #3. So, about a gallon of intense epoxy in that flat disk layer.
Of course i will have to lean it up against a support to aim it at anything.
I can't get an impression of what the range will be of this or the new monopipe CB. But they feel real strong.
The lazy susan has ball bearings! And will spin noisily for quite a while on momentum when level. Unfortunately that quality is of scant value for this piece.

I have embellished the new unit some.
I had a chance to test these last night. Unfortunately the storm hit here, loudly, at 11:30pm when i was sleeping. I did not get up and turn on the PC. I tried in vain to get back to sleep. It was very loud on the metal roof for hours as i got deluged. Got at least 4".
No hail or wind noticed.
I had the new units plus some old ones leaning west into the storm. But what is an effective range for storm busting? If i perceive correctly, JoeOB's stuff only kicks in once the storm gets very close.
Anyway, i have not found a radar history site that works at all except for one that really sucks. Here is yesterday's loop:
https://www.wunderground.com/maps/radar/yesterday
I PRESUME it is from midnight to midnight. What i am looking for is more like 11pm yesterday for the next few hours. The animation only shows a bit of green stuff in my area (north-central Arkansas). Yellow stuff much farther away in the east edge of OK. Presumably out of storm-busting range. I have several devices that shoot much farther than that, and they were aimed that way, but were not made for that type of work.
Today's loop will be posted there tomorrow, which should show the continuation of the storm. Same link i gather. I say loop even though it does not replay automatically.
London, KY got devastated, and that is hundreds of miles east and a few north of me. I am curious what the incoming path of that tornado was. If it passed right by me without being affected, that would not be good for my morale.

Today's yesterday loop does not pick up where the previous one left off! Shows nothing much passing by me, but after it passes me heading east, it intensifies.
One can click on a state on the map to zoom in.

About the London, KY tornado: according to this vid at 21:50:
https://youtu.be/cVBs7WMVkww?t=1314
"the supercell that created this tornado actually formed well, well to the west in MO on Friday afternoon..."
