Google has recently done something similar to their maps as Yahoo did to their forum software a couple years ago.
I sent this link to someone
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7077052 … a=!3m1!1e3
and she says it takes her to a place much further east on Long Island. It always takes me to
64-40 Madison St, Flushing, NY 11385
which is what i wanted.
(To find out where the place is, you have to right-click and choose What's Here?)
Let me know if anyone else gets off-the-wall results from this link.

it takes me to Madison st.
by the way, google is lame, they changed gmaps in such a way that if you don't have an updated browser they send you to Lite version where 'what's here' is not available. I currently use this URL now when I start gmaps work....
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?dg=feature
and it takes me to an usable version of gmaps.
that is the old version of gmaps
edit: (also new version doesn't seem to have 'what's here', or I am not able to see anything similiar)
