The dictionaries still give the old definition even though i have not heard it used that way in many years. Now even any little red-tag group of semi-organized thugs is a "cartel". "an association of manufacturers or suppliers"?

Even this article refers to "seemingly angering one of the drug-selling criminal groups that operates in the area." But these days is ANY drug-selling criminal group NOT a cartel? I see it used a lot to refer to gangs of a handful of people.
Decades ago the term most commonly was used in reference to organized collusion between big oil-producers to control prices.

The 2nd vid is from another hoax. It is long so i only watched the preview, which is CGI and has a guy sliding on the pavement for quite a distance while maintaining a constant speed. Behind him, for comparison, a motorcycle cruises by in the same direction maintaing the same speed.
Not the first such video. They do this on purpose.
