BTW my mom, who was a total sheeple who watched the TV news every day and read the Washington Post, with total credulity regardless of how absurd the stories were, or any evidence to the contrary, nevertheless found it oddly pretentious to call cops "officers". Out of respect to her memory, i refuse to use the term. Not that i ever did even before she told me.
