This happened again just now, happened a few days ago, and happened numerous times in the past.
I put a post in the wrong thread by mistake. I hit Edit, copy and cut the post and put it in the correct thread. Then i go back to the original thread. To delete it i have to hit the back button. So far i have not actually deleted the post online.
I get a page saying
"You are about to permanently delete this post.
The post you have chosen to delete is set out below for you to review before proceeding."
and showing the original post. I hit the Delete button, and get
"Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated."
And indeed the post has been deleted, all by itself. This only happens a small percent of the time. I accidentally post in the wrong thread on a frequent basis.
If i had hit the Post button by mistake i would have gotten the blank post, but still a numbered post. This never happens.
[I apologize for the CIA-inspired title of this thread. Normally i have a revulsion for anything CIA and try to avoid using their memes and expressions.]

Yesterday i "discovered" that most of the posts in my hand-sign thread
https://forum.loohan.com/viewtopic.php?id=652
were horrible rubbish when i started out. So i've been pasting the following disclaimer in some pages:
[Edit Dec 2023: I recommend that readers skip at least the first 80 pages of this subforum, or better yet bump up to maybe page 200:
https://forum.loohan.com/viewtopic.php?id=652&p=200
In the beginning i was posting mostly non-hand signs! I am embarrassed.
Plus, there were other gestures i did not figure out until later, like exposing soles.]
Just now i was doing this, and on 2 occasions, the above text magically appeared in the Edit box BEFORE i pasted it!

It just happened again. I was definitely paying attention. I had double-posted and wanted to delete the copy. I was even thinking "I guess that stuff stopped happening" where a post deletes itself before i hit Delete.
Yup. "Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated." and 2nd post was gone.

Same thing happened again, except that this time i was sort of expecting it to.

Cosmic synchronicity or mere coincidence?
A few minutes ago i started to watch a chemtrail vid that YT threw into my feed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PLp2j_RBH8
Just CTs to the sound of that old song about All We Are is Dust in the Wind.
I watched for a minute then turned it off and went outside to do something. And what do i hear in the distance as i step outside? That same song, which i hadn't heard in many years, maybe a decade, playing on the radio of some construction workers.

In Nov 2017, as i posted in my blog, i made a run south and busted an area of Lake Ouachita. Before heading down, as i don't have GPS, i wrote down the turns i would have to make, on a piece of paper. If you go to 34.61797926407752, -93.34880636187938
https://maps.app.goo.gl/iSFg9knhCZYhbhtF6
you will see that it shows a road called Tadpole Point heading west at an intersection. But i found no trace of such a road. Instead, Buckville Rd made a 90 degree turn in the east direction around that point. I figured i must have written right when actually it was left. But that road did not go directly to the Buckville Recreation Area i was trying to get to. It went east in a straight line, i seem to remember, or at least fairly straight, then there was a turnoff after a while, like a 90 degree turn to the right onto another road. I don't recall now whether there was a sign there for the Rec Area. I turned down there and it went right to that particular Rec Area. No question about it. I walked around and planted Channel Wands etc. The area has distinctive contours and a slightly marshy area.
When i got home the next day i looked it up on the map again, and was puzzled to find that i had correctly written down what the map shows.

When i used to visit my parents in Burke, VA i used to often go hiking and busting at Burke Lake Park. There is a little spur road off Fairfax County Parkway where people can park and hike into the park. Then there is a gravel road (no vehicles allowed) that one can take most of the way to the lake.
The first time i walked that route would have been in '92 probably, with my dad, and i went back there many times in subsequent years.
In 2019, for the first time, i saw a path that went north from this gravel road, toward the lake. I thought it very odd, as the path was quite visible and appeared to have been in use a long time. How could i not have noticed it before? The gravel road was straight and had monotonous features with no other trails intersecting it.
I went down that trial planting Channel wands and boogers. It had curves and a fork. One fork went back to the Parkway at another point where one could enter the park.
I went back there another time or 2 in 2019 to look for that trail, but it was again nowhere to be found. Even though i was consciously trying.
However, at that time it WAS on google maps! Now it no longer is. The trail started right around
38.766602364633336, -77.28898880829564
https://maps.app.goo.gl/DKZqu862uyyEkh328
I can still feel the Channel stuff i planted on it.
The straight line is the gravel path, and you can see the parking area by the Parkway.
I did not go back to VA in 2020. I did in 2021 and wanted to look for that path again, but never made it as i was too busy busting other parks.

I have not been getting any more of those computer glitches i've mentioned before several times.
But just now i was posting a hoax article
Antiques Roadshow episode sees Florida grandparents thrown in jail after unwittingly harboring stolen gold bars from cursed 18th Century shipwreck
I pasted the heading in the textbox. Then i selected the URL in the address bar and hit Ctrl+X to cut it. Then i put the cursor back in the textbox and hit Ctrl+V to paste it. But instead it pasted the heading again.
The address bar was blank. To get the address back i would have to refresh the page and re-copy it. But i did not do this. I merely hit Ctrl+Z to delete the 2nd heading, and then hit Ctrl+V again, and this time it DID paste the URL!
It should be mentioned that in Linux, copying very often fails, which is why i tend to cut instead, as that way i can SEE that something has happened.
It should also be mentioned that on rare occasions, even if something has been cut, the previous data in the clipboard will paste instead. But i don't think that has ever happened to me with a URL before.
And there is no logical explanation for how the clipboard could change its contents by itself!
[Edit Aug 17, '24:] It just happened again. Is this a software glitch? Of all the copying and pasting i have done over the years, (quite a lot!) it has only happened twice. BUT then i might never have tried pasting a 2nd time before. Maybe it was always this way but i just never discovered it.
[Edit Aug 26, '24:] It does seem to just be a software glitch. Now i am re-training myself to paste a 2nd time if at first i don't succeed. But a little while ago something weirder happened: instead of pasting the previous text, it pasted the one prior to that! A first. Then when i tried again, it pasted the subsequent text. Then on the 3rd try, it pasted what i had just cut.
[Edit Aug 30, '24:] Now this is very odd. I just copied the URL of a photo , or MEANT to. Presumably i chose Copy Image by mistake instead of Copy Image Link, so nothing pasted. I do this occasionally.
But then, not being quite awake yet, i momentarily thought it was the article URL which failed to paste, even though i had just hit Ctrl+V several times in vain, where the image URL should go.
I refreshed the article page to restore the previously-cut article URL in the address bar. Then as I pasted it where the image URL is supposed to be between {IMG} and {/IMG}, i started realizing my mistake, but what pasted was the image URL which I had never even copied!
SMH.

I don't think it's glitches, more like CIA/NSA and their software that's filled with bugs, and backdoors.
I have also tried these strange behaviours many times.

Very strange. I was working down an article, typing, and i ran into this:
Crotch hold and tongue on centerline. Caption was something about a 30-yro man diagnosed with something.
But then i could no longer find this guy in either of the 2 articles i had open. And also did not run into it again later.

It just happened again! After a long hiatus. I had put a post in the wrong thread, re-opened it to edit, selected and cut the text and posted it in another thread, then tried to delete it from the first thread. This time i had a feeling it would happen again, and sure enough, the post vanished, leaving only
Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.
And i definitely had fully posted (not just previewed) the post. I even backed up later to double-check.

It just happened again. I cut the message text from a post in one thread and pasted it into the correct thread, but then when i tried to delete the post and its title from the original thread i could not because
Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.
This seldom happens anymore. But then i think i am mis-posting less as i gradually become less senile.

No longer on google maps, but it is on www.alltrails.com
https://www.alltrails.com/explore/us/vi … 9029531928
I drew a red X where the trail entrance on that one occasion was. And only once of countless times i walked by.
What about the turquoise X? I have many times turned east at that fork, but i don't recall any trails leading to the white road from there. I have stomped through the woods to the white road from there, but the trail ran out long before i made it.
Also i do not recall a trail going SE from the red X. Though i did hike around there too a few times, and it was relatively level and clear going.
And there are 2 more such trails further down not shown in this pic, which i also do not recall.

Mental glitch or something else?
Yesterday i mentioned in a post
https://forum.loohan.com/viewtopic.php?pid=35769#p35769
the constellation Coma Berenice (i just corrected it now to Berenices). But, i was surprise to find yesterday, that it was NOT Berenices as i had long thought, but actually Berenice. I even looked it up in a search engine and was surprised that it was actually Berenice. Hence i originally spelled it thus in that post. I could have SWORN it had an s on the end. I deal with constellations all the time. I shook my head.
But now it's back to Berenices.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coma_Berenices
Its name means "Berenice's Hair" in Latin and refers to Queen Berenice II of Egypt, who sacrificed her long hair as a votive offering.[2] It was introduced to Western astronomy during the third century BC ...
