Enlarged left ear. Note angle of face. Often they not only enlarge an ear, but also enlarge the space between the corner of the eye and the ear. This sort of obscures that the ear is enlarged, by making it appear that the head tilt is different. Yet the rest of the face disagrees with that tilt. That space should be slightly smaller here, presuming his face is symmetrical. Of course facial asymmetry is quite common, but i notice this particular doctoring often.
Also the hair on that side sticks out too much. Note how these observations also hold true for previous pic. This is the same actor. You decide whether his face really is like that or not.

So i guess the clay was pressed against such a helmet plate to form this artefact.
