A Texas grand jury will decide whether or not criminal charges should be brought against a customer who shot and killed a robber in a Houston taqueria last week. 

Eric Eugene Washington, 30, died after being shot nine times - with one bullet hitting him execution-style in the head - by a vigilante customer who was said to be 'protecting everyone' in the restaurant. 

The customer at Ranchito 4 Taqueria has been hailed a hero after turning his weapon on the would-be robber - who strolled into the local joint, pointed a fake gun at customers and demanded they hand over cash. 

The 46-year-old customer, who is believed to be Hispanic {Hispanic shoots black}, left the scene in a dusty pickup truck, and has not yet been identified because he is not under arrest. Authorities say he is cooperating with detectives - and a Grand Jury will decide if he'll face charges.

I am no legal expert, but as i understand it, if this was a real story, the shooter would be in DEEP doo-doo under US laws. The "shooting" was not justifiable as there was insufficient reason to believe that anyone's life was in danger. In the vid, the perp's behavior was of someone desperate to rob but not eager to hurt anyone. He was heading toward the exit when shot in the side/rear:

No way this scenario would be viewed lightly. The shooter clearly could not have been in fear of his life nor the life of others.
By putting out such stories, the CIA is lulling idiots into thinking they are allowed to take it upon themselves to execute criminal scum. Entrapment.

Hopefully, people are clued in to the law when issued a license to carry a handgun. But, what about people who don't have a gun but read stories like this, and then have an opportunity to terminate a petty criminal with some other object?
