Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, traditionally 85 -95% Tin, with the remainder consisting of Copper, Antimony, Bismuth and sometimes, less commonly today, Lead. Silver is also sometimes used.

Due to the traces of antimony (toxic) one must assume he does not wear this much.
I do not detect silver.

I googled images of papal jewelry. Apparently, it has always  been all fake! Despite the fact that the Vatican and Jesuit Order is where real Earthly wealth and political power resides.
