New registrants: if you try to register you will get a message that we are not accepting new members. Due to the limitations of this forum software which is not designed to deal with incessant CIA harrassment, we have no alternative but to disable automatic registration, and then we can't change this automatic message. Your account needs to be created by admin before you can post in the forums. Because otherwise, almost all registrants are CIA sock puppets. To get a forum account you need to send a brief presentation email to loohanforum at gee mail dot com, also suggesting a user name. Then we can enable you manually. But before you even do that, take a look around the forum and my site and decide whether you REALLY WANT to join/post, before you jack us around. Most seemingly genuine people who apply fail to even ever log in once to change their password after we go through the work of creating a membership for them. Then we must quickly delete their account again lest the CIA has intercepted their temporary password. And of the few who do change their password, most still never post. Maybe they realize we are too weird for them, I don't know. They get real quiet, never to be heard from again.

CBD oil scam

I have never taken CBD oil but heard from a reliable source that it works wonders IF it is the real thing.
But there are a lot of repticlone scammers selling ordinary hempseed oil with no significant CBD content if any, as "CBD oil". And the FDA does not appear interested in cracking down on them. Example:
https://www.cbdoilland.com/can-buy-lega … -arkansas/
I understand in Arkansas one cannot even legally get or use real CBD oil without a doctor's prescription, yet  fake CBD oil is sold with impunity.

This seems like a good article:
https://www.thegrowthop.com/cannabis-he … -about-cbd

Federal law prohibits U.S. farmers from growing hemp as a commercial crop {but i read that that has recently changed}, but the sale of imported, low-THC, industrial hemp products is permitted in the United States as long as these products are derived from the seed or stalk of the plant, not from the leaves and flowers. Here’s the catch: Cannabidiol can’t be pressed or extracted from hempseed. CBD can be extracted from the flower, leaves, and, only to a very minor extent, from the stalk of the hemp plant. Hemp oil start-ups lack credibility when they say their CBD comes from hemp seed and stalk.

Exciting MLM opportunity:

CTFO CBD Oil
Affordable Organic Cannabidiol Products

I can't comment on the quality of the products. I have not even read the site, just looked at the pictures of repticlones, all of which are CIA.

Re: CBD oil scam

Ya, CBD oil is a big scam... Might as well buy hemp oil, which i'am guessing is all the CBD oil is, just marked up.

FDA Cracks Down on CBD Oil
https://articles.mercola.com/sites/arti … ducts.aspx

I did buy some pricey CBD oil sold as veterinary medicine, then some Barlean's CBD oil from Swanson which was a better deal but still expensive. Swanson started carrying these oils so i figured the law is just not being enforced. I guess that is changing.
The brands i bought seemed to be from non-Masonic sources as far as i could tell. It may be that once they are put out of business, laws will be enacted to ensure that only CIA-connected manufacturers can sell it.
I would stock up on more real quick except that now i have doubts whether the benefits are worth the price for me. I did seem to get some benefits for a while but have doubts i need it at this time.

Re: CBD oil scam

The whole thing is very confusing. The repticlone article i mentioned above
https://www.thegrowthop.com/cannabis-he … -about-cbd
claims

... the sale of imported, low-THC, industrial hemp products is permitted in the United States as long as these products are derived from the seed or stalk of the plant, not from the leaves and flowers. Here’s the catch: Cannabidiol can’t be pressed or extracted from hempseed. CBD can be extracted from the flower, leaves, and, only to a very minor extent, from the stalk of the hemp plant.

But where can one verify this? Other than calling up some confused RC flunky at some state govt office? Even if i google "Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act" NOTHING comes up from a govt site! Why don't they want commoners to peek at the wording of the law? I'm sure a dedicated enough researcher could find a way -- FOIA might be necessary against these backward cretins.

Anyway, even big supplement suppliers now sell CBD oil that may be legit. I have been occasionally using some Barleans Extra Strength IDEAL CBD from Swanson's which seems good (or is it mostly placebo?) and supposedly supplies 45 25mg doses. Expensive, though.
But now i just got something that seems cooler:
https://wolfrunorganics.com/product/hemp-flowers/
You can get an oz of hi-CBD organic bud for $37 postpaid, and i put it in a jar with everclear to make a simple tincture which i suspect will be much more cost-effective. I just ordered a 2nd oz to have some to try vaping/smoking and put the rest in the booze.
These people are non-COTHS.

If i google "legality of growing cbd hemp arkansas personal use" the first thing google offers is a "Featured Snippet" from
https://mrhempflower.com/hemp-flower-arkansas
a RC site that mentions NOTHING about growing your own, as they r selling pricey CBD bud. I compared prices and they charge over $100 for an oz of hi-CBD, low-THC bud!

I finally found out somewhere about growing your own CBD plants in AR. It is not legal to do without a license, apparently. Indeed, it would be difficult for the hard-working public servants wishing to protect the public from harm, as people would be growing hi-THC weed among their plants, and it would require analysis of each plant in each little backwoods garden and large plot to ensure safety.

In fact according to the last link,

Hemp flower grown and cultivated in Arkansas cannot be sold as a product to consumers directly. That’s why many retailers buy hemp flower produced out of state.

Although hemp flower is legal in Arkansas, individuals who are not licensed (such as farmers) are not allowed to sell it directly to retailers and consumers — but only to licensed processors.

Licensed dispensaries also sell high-CBD bud but it is not cheap.

I think buying more reasonably priced flowers is the way to go, instead of tinctures where one is not sure what one is getting, or how accurate the labels are.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

Re: CBD oil scam

I had not researched it. There is info on the web about DIY ethanol extraction of CBD, and i gather it's more or less, you dry and break up the buds some, soak and stir in the booze for 10 mins, pour the alcohol off, and heat it safely in a double boiler to evaporate all the alcohol off.
Some heat is necessary in any case, to convert the native chemicals to CBD.
The result should not be smoked, due to excess chlorophyll, which the alcohol extracts and which is good to eat.
The vegetable matter can be extracted repeatedly, getting weaker and less pure yields.

I think i will just try to go for an alcohol tincture. I will need to heat it and partially evaporate the liquid, but leave enough so it's not a syrup. Then i can put a few drops on food or dilute in tea.

Re: CBD oil scam

Not sure i can recommend DIY alcohol extraction. It does seem quite potent (subjective first impression) but also extremely harsh and bitter. I mean eating it.

Re: CBD oil scam

Actually, i think the harshness fades a bit over time. Also, a pinhead amount is probably equivalent to a couple dropperfuls of quality commercial extract, and easy enough to smoke or vape.
The tar is sticky, waxy, slimy, and inconvenient to handle. If it sticks to your lip or tooth, it will take many "tasty" licks to dissolve it off. On the other hand, i would not want to swallow a glob whole or in a cap undiluted, as it would likely irritate the stomach.

Part of the reason CBD is so expensive is that it requires elaborate filtering to remove the harsh stuff. But i doubt i will go back to that pricey stuff.

Re: CBD oil scam

To convert the CBDA in hemp to CBD, a temperature of 120 to 180 degrees C (250 to 356 deg F) is needed.
At 120 degrees C, the conversion vill take about 60-90 minutes. At higher temperatures, much less. As it happens when smoking bud.

I heard a rumor that lower temps work if prolonged enough.
