New registrants: if you try to register you will get a message that we are not accepting new members. Due to the limitations of this forum software which is not designed to deal with incessant CIA harrassment, we have no alternative but to disable automatic registration, and then we can't change this automatic message. Your account needs to be created by admin before you can post in the forums. Because otherwise, almost all registrants are CIA sock puppets. To get a forum account you need to send a brief presentation email to loohanforum at gee mail dot com, also suggesting a user name. Then we can enable you manually. But before you even do that, take a look around the forum and my site and decide whether you REALLY WANT to join/post, before you jack us around. Most seemingly genuine people who apply fail to even ever log in once to change their password after we go through the work of creating a membership for them. Then we must quickly delete their account again lest the CIA has intercepted their temporary password. And of the few who do change their password, most still never post. Maybe they realize we are too weird for them, I don't know. They get real quiet, never to be heard from again.

Teamspeak chat

I have been running a private Teamspeak 3 chat server for a couple years now with a friend.  My friend has lost interest and before I totally shut it down, I thought I'd open it up to forum members.  At present, there is only room enough for 10 people, and up until now that has been more than enough.  You can do voice and/or text.  If English is not your main language, that is OK...  attempts will be made to understand and communicate.  In the past, I would log in and stay logged in all day long and as my friend and I had comments to make, we'd either chat or text each other, depending on whether we thought the other was actually at the computer or not.  So if you want to stop in and chat or hang out, that is fine.  Got friends on the forum you'd like to talk to, here is your chance.  The client software for Teamspeak 3 is free and available for most operating systems.  Hope to see some of you there.

Teamspeak is down and canceled.  My Internet connection and phone are being disconnected.  Thank you for your participation.

Re: Teamspeak chat

From time to time I play my guitar through the Teamspeak channel.  I think it irritates the alphabets that like to listen in.  Eventually they light up and get wiped... I hope.  Anyone else that plays a musical instrument is welcome to join the chat and share if you want.  Unfortunately, the delay is such that we can't jam, but that is OK.  Or you might like to support me as I get attacked while playing.  And in between times we can just catch up on targets or news or talk about our hobbies.  It is there and paid for, so someone might as well get some use from it before the time runs out.  If people want to use it, then I will keep it going.  It is very informal.  I tend to log in anywhere from 7am-7:30am every day and it stays on until I shut the puter off around 8pm-9pm at night.  It just sits in the background until I find a target to blast with my guitar or someone else logs in.  I'm an amateur player so don't be expecting a Chet Atkins or Tony Rice sound.  And sometimes it is more noise than music while trying to play through the attacks, but I do try.

Re: Teamspeak chat

Mordok is too humble. He is a great guitarist unless he's gone downhill since i last heard him several years ago.

Re: Teamspeak chat

My memory and coordination both have changed over the years and unfortunately, not for the better.

Re: Teamspeak chat

The Teamspeak  channel has been shut down.  It could be reactivated if there was any interest.  Unfortunately, as I said before, my memory is not what it used to be (not that it was much good then) and my coordination isn't getting any better.  I tend to do better when I play along with others and I think that is probably true of most people.  I push myself harder to keep up and make fewer mistakes.  Unfortunately, I haven't had anyone to play along with in years.  Playing for my friend, Fran, over Teamspeak helped some but even that came to an end.  And these days I do not know if I can do what I used to do with my music irritating people (other than playing poorly).  If there is any interest, I'll start it back up again.  Actually, Fran just bought a guitar and maybe it would be good to start it back up so that we can share more music.  Of course Fran is just starting  out, so if Fran plays it will just make my playing seem all the better.  Yeah, I should get Fran on.
