Your account needs to be created by admin before you can post in the forums. Because otherwise, almost all registrants are CIA sock puppets. To get a forum account you need to send a brief presentation email to loohanforum at gee mail dot com, also suggesting a user name. Then we can enable you manually. But before you even do that, take a look around the forum and my site and decide whether you REALLY WANT to join/post, before you jack us around. Most seemingly genuine people who apply fail to even ever log in once to change their password after we go through the work of creating a membership for them. Then we must quickly delete their account again lest the CIA has intercepted their temporary password. And of the few who do change their password, most still never post. Maybe they realize we are too weird for them, I don't know. They get real quiet, never to be heard from again.

I don't normally consider Daily Mail a source of practical truths, but i think this article (by repticlones) is pretty good. And explains part of the reason i feel so good at age 67.

I read years ago that one should drink plenty of plain water, because if it contains too many minerals etc it will just draw water out of your cells due to the osmotic dynamics.
Makes a lot of sense, but is untrue in my experience. I seldom want or drink plain water. I drink a lot of herb teas in recent years. I start the day with about 24 oz, mostly mate'. I love mate' personally in part because it seems beneficial to me on an epigenetic level. Oddly, even though it supposedly contains caffeine, it does not particularly stimulate me, at least as long as i "keto" it by adding some butter or cacao butter. On rare occasion i have even gone back to sleep after drinking it.
The keto gimmick does not work for me with coffee or green tea, though.
The article says caffeine is dehydrating, but i never notice that from mate'. I always have plenty of saliva. I feel much better hydrated than in earlier years. Mate' is also rich in mineral salts etc. And numbs hunger to make intermittent fasting easier.
I also drink other teas like white tea, mint, ...

Also when possible, i grow and eat foods high in water content, like summer squash, melons, greens. Working on grapes.
I usually cook my vegs in enough water so that it's a bit soupy.

The article also talks about the importance of MOVEMENT to hydration.
I spend a lot of time at the computer, but i never sit for long. I get up every few minutes and do light calisthenics, squats, horse stance, stretches...
Especially if i am watching some dumb entertainment movie and don't need to approach the keyboard except to hit the Mute button for commercials. (And to frequently pause to scan the various targeted people i monitor.)

Note that the article recommends "sea salt" without mentioning that the term is misleading, as cheap "sea salt" is industrially stripped of the more valuable minerals.
