New registrants: if you try to register you will get a message that we are not accepting new members. Due to the limitations of this forum software which is not designed to deal with incessant CIA harrassment, we have no alternative but to disable automatic registration, and then we can't change this automatic message. Your account needs to be created by admin before you can post in the forums. Because otherwise, almost all registrants are CIA sock puppets. To get a forum account you need to send a brief presentation email to loohanforum at gee mail dot com, also suggesting a user name. Then we can enable you manually. But before you even do that, take a look around the forum and my site and decide whether you REALLY WANT to join/post, before you jack us around. Most seemingly genuine people who apply fail to even ever log in once to change their password after we go through the work of creating a membership for them. Then we must quickly delete their account again lest the CIA has intercepted their temporary password. And of the few who do change their password, most still never post. Maybe they realize we are too weird for them, I don't know. They get real quiet, never to be heard from again.

GLOSSARY: Sometimes unusual terminology or abbreviations are used that with some luck you might find defined here.

Funky looking "chi demonstration"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76FksKjCy58

action starts from 0:56   i watched at slowest possible speed, for me it looks like almost half of what he was holding dissapeared,
as far as visual impression goes it looks unreal and interesting.Material looks like some kind of stone possibly used as a tombstone
usually.Hard to say, lacking knowledge in this particural field.

Re: Funky looking "chi demonstration"

It is hard to say where fakery begins sometimes. Probably this guy has real power BUT it is very common in such chi kung / martial art type demos to make oneself look even more awesome with fakery.
We do not know if he legitimately lit the paper. This trick can be done with the help of a certain chemical. We do not know if the little slab of marble or whatever that he broke with 2 fingers was pre-cracked. I have to suspect it was.

I have seen vids of martial artists breaking fake baseball bats, apparently made to break easily.
It is well-known that the bricks, tiles, etc used are often overcooked or specially-made to break easily.
Some breakers of bricks and rocks will slightly lift the brick so that it strikes the edge of the anvil when they hit it. The bricks break at the edge of the anvil.
These guys have real abilities you and i don't, but many exaggerate them with fakery.
I have seen monks break steel bars over their head, but it is obvious that the steel was hardened so as to be very brittle.
