At the end of the video, pyrokinesis ! Looks cool, can't even say how this would be possible to fake, from watching the video we can say that this man is warm, they were checking his belly he have good blood circulation.
Chi demonstrations looks funny(blowing people away). If i could use chi like this, i wouldn't use this on humans for demonstrations.Whenever this is possible of not, i remember a words from a guy who claimed to be able to do this sorts of things, he was actually showing it, but he said that its disrupts energy in body of person he uses it on and it shouldn't be done numerous times, he wasn't even trying this two time a day on same person or even less often. So this is the reason i think this certain video of monk is fake. No, actually its only one of the reasons
World ''Chi'' have a lot of meanings, actually i remember that, asians used word chi in martial arts when they couldn't explain something in other words, muscle training ? ok technique trying ? ok , they were using this word talking for example about mind training or ''internal'' training. It reminds me of a story about kangaroo name.A foreign guy asked: What is this ? Local man answered: I don't know/Kangaroo. Original word sounded different but that's how it is in english now.
Training internal martial arts in right way can improve coordination and functioning of nervous system to the point that its more effective than raw muscle strength in hard styles(karate, judo, boxing) also way less tiring, healthier for body but takes longer to achieve such skill, .I remember a story about an elder who was always training in motion while he was walking around and he was called small tank, some punks tried to stop him from walking/exercising and he just ''walked through'' them without stopping .Better circulation of blood, and more sensitive nervous system gives impression of energy flowing through the body. But actually i think that common ''people'' just feel their normal body functioning ;P And so, they don't have any scientific explanation to what they are felling and they say ''chi'' just like it was intended to use, but when you train under someone and you start to feel something no matter what, no matter where, and no matter how you say you feel it, scammer will answer the same way for every sensation, and he will say if you don't feel some divine energy flowing through you, you are doing something wrong.Normal instructor don't give a shit, you feel something ? Its ok, don't feel ? Its ok, focus on training not on sensations. A lot of martial arts schools today, no matter the nationality are using this meaning of chi as live energy as a scam, but it could be kinda started by asians themselves, they were making money on stupid white people when they came to them ,in the past they were teaching real martial arts only to worthy, to other people, no matter how important they were: some basic knowledge for horrendous price, later in history they were scamming foreigners and teaching country mens.In the past many styles of kung-fu vanished cause masters were stubborn with keeping knowledge for themselves,or family style vanished with family dying out as it wasn't spread outside for anyone. They were very proud and very stubborn.Their culture is dying out so new generations have different approach now and they want to teach real martial arts for outsiders otherwise it will be lost forever. But a lot have been forgotten, teaching watered down, what's more: tradition, we teach like that because our ancestors were teaching like that, if you take away useless training sometimes there is nothing left in the knowledge of the instructor. Some time ago there was a guy who wanted to get rid of this mess in kung-fu and he made a pretty good job, Tang Hao, i found out about him not long ago, if you guys are interested in purely martial arts you can read about it on this blog http://penglaimartialarts.blogspot.com/ … -hero.html exact article about Tang Hao it is
Some of this apply to only chinese and their kung-fu but i can't correct myself.I know to little, short on time.History of martial arts is very vast.
Another kind of demonstrations, blowing out candles with ''chi'' Candles vary a lot and some of them can be extinguished pretty easy, i have three very different videos, they are quite short, wind or chi or wind and chi ? judge for yourself

Have you guys heard about yiquan ? One of the internal kung-fu styles. This style was composed of three other styles.
System could be understood in very broad range and some of experienced martial artist after contact with style had chosen to train others in their own understanding hence giving birth to something new, new styles. Some yiquan training methods can be found in kyouushin karate, sport training of chinese athletes (but it is a secret actually, not so well guarded)
The heir to style at this moment is Yao Chengguang, if you guys want to find out more its good to use his name.
I have in house printed book which describe the style very good, shows all exercises, its way more than enough for training for health purposes, its free to print for personal use but its in polish and i doubt it can be found in other languages, the polish instructor was translating chinese-polish.Sadly I don't know other source where everything is as easilly accessible as the book i have.

Very much. I confess i was fooled by this stuff years ago and "liked" this vid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-gFyTF13xc
And some things similar to this may be possible in some circumstances. And this guy is probably using chi to some extent, and telling some degree of truth. But that stuff he is doing is not going to work, or work much, on an ordinary person off the street, let alone a real fighter.
Apparently this is a money-oriented cult:
