New registrants: if you try to register you will get a message that we are not accepting new members. Due to the limitations of this forum software which is not designed to deal with incessant CIA harrassment, we have no alternative but to disable automatic registration, and then we can't change this automatic message. Your account needs to be created by admin before you can post in the forums. Because otherwise, almost all registrants are CIA sock puppets. To get a forum account you need to send a brief presentation email to loohanforum at gee mail dot com, also suggesting a user name. Then we can enable you manually. But before you even do that, take a look around the forum and my site and decide whether you REALLY WANT to join/post, before you jack us around. Most seemingly genuine people who apply fail to even ever log in once to change their password after we go through the work of creating a membership for them. Then we must quickly delete their account again lest the CIA has intercepted their temporary password. And of the few who do change their password, most still never post. Maybe they realize we are too weird for them, I don't know. They get real quiet, never to be heard from again.

Wi-Fi router should be wrapped in aluminum foil

Partially wrapped to direct the MW's that is. If for some reason you are forced to use wifi.

Dartmouth researchers reveal why your Wi-Fi router should be wrapped in aluminum foil
Dartmouth researchers confirmed aluminum foil can make 'optimized reflectors'
The quick hack can boost signal where you need it and reduce it where you don't

Shaping the signal allows users to funnel the Wifi toward the areas it's most needed, the researchers explain

As a side note, some time back i was having internet problems and the technician on the phone directed me to reset my modem by sticking a paper clip into a recessed button on the back. What did not occur to me at the time (and of course she did not mention) was that this restored defaults, meaning my wifi was turned back on. I never noticed that an amber LED had turned green on the modem.
Only some time later i happened to check something in the cabin with my wifi sniffer and noticed i was in a super hot MW zone. I had been frying myself unbeknownst with 5g and 4g.

It's insane that almost nobody in this day and age cares about anything but wireless convenience. I am in the process of getting a different ISP soon that is cheaper and has orders of magnitude more speed, using fiber optics. But the technicians say that "everybody" uses the wifi.
Luckily it can be disabled on their modem, which has several jacks.
