Funny how when new versions come out, old versions are no longer are used. It is not always obvious to me what was wrong with the older versions.

Interesting as the vid shows the animal attacking the child realistically. And it does look like a coyote. But, is it a semi-tame one? Perhaps a coydog hybrid? Vid is blurry.
FTM happens to have a 2X4 or something conveniently just inside the door to chase the animal with. But this is not incredible if coyote attacks truly are common in the area.

If so, pic must have been taken at this later time, as there was no opportunity to do so during the videoed encounter. This feels like a different animal to me, though. And how likely is it that the animal would be so obsessed with this one family?

Well done. If these were not CIA i would have believed this was unstaged. As it is, i am impressed because the vid seems to genuinely show the beast knocking down the child and gnawing on her.

This is a thigh but the animal is only seen attacking lower down.
Also, the camera position suddenly JUMPS as the animal is walking behind the car. We do not know what all may have intervened. But the jump in position is so small that it seems unlikely that 2 cams would be placed with so much overlap of coverage.

This page seems to additionally have legit stories of them attacking children and pets.

Incidentally, i have lived in coyote country for 26 years and never seen one. Many times i have heard packs of them yip-yip-yipping not far away. In the last 3 years i have caught several individual ones on a trail-cam. I have only heard one story of them behaving threateningly toward a person, but not attacking.
They seem to keep down the population of abandoned dogs. Rept hybrids and other degenerates often just ditch unwanted pets out in the country. But it has been many years since i have seen an abandoned dog. I have been using a trail cam for years but never got one on it, either. Quite a few feral cats and a variety of wild animals though.
